Albert Tower

Albert Tower is a 45 foot high castleated tower overlooking Ramsey from the hill above Lhergy Frissel Glen.
Brief History
During a royal visit to Ramsey by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert on 20th of September 1847 Albert climbed up the hill to view the town and surrounding area.
To commemorate the visit, the hill was named Albert Mount and plans were drawn up to build a tower as a permanent landmark, with the foundation stone being laid on Easter Monday, 1848.
