St. Matthew's Church

St. Matthew's Church is a Roman Catholic church dedicated the St. Matthew the Apostle and is located on the junction of Ridgeway Street and North Quay in Douglas.
The church is the second building to have carried the name and was opened in 1902 close to the site of the "old" 1708 St. Matthew's church. The old church was demolished during the clearing and rebuilding of streets in old Douglas, it was originally located very close to where the current Market Hall and Leigon Club stand.
